Bosses say business looks better.


BUSINESS confidence has nearly doubled during the last quarter, a study revealed yesterday.

Around 42 per cent of senior executives think their business prospects are now good, up from just 22 per cent during the first quarter of the year, according to according to

Despite their optimism about their own prospects, business leaders are far gloomier about the wider economy.

The study of 201 executives showed 54 per cent consider the UK economic outlook to be bad.

But that's still an improvement on the 81 per cent who felt that way during the first quarter of the year.
