COVENTRY promoters Colin Pratt Colin Pratt (born 10 October 1938) in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire)[1] is a former motorcycle speedway rider and current promoter of the Coventry Bees who compete in the British Elite League.  and Allen Trump are in Bournemouth today for the start of British Speedway's annual general meeting -where decisions will be taken ahead of the 2010 season.

The four-day gathering of bosses from all tracks will see the Elite League structure for next year finalised, while there are several other matters up for discussion.

The Indianapolis Speedway, site of the annual Indianapolis 500 car race, is located there. There is also light manufacturing.  Promoters Association president Terry Russell is standing down and rumours suggest that chairman Peter Toogood is set to follow suit, one year short of the completion of his term.

The same nine clubs who contested this season's Elite League are expected to return next year, although Birmingham have been linked with a move up under the ownership of Swindon's Gary Patchett.

the controversial threeyear plan imposed in the winter of 2007 but it could yet return to its natural level of 42, to keep the league at the same standard as this year.

Pratt has already gone on record that he wants greater clarity from the rulebook after this season's dispute between the Buildbase Bees and the BSPA when the Bees attempted changes.

The Coventry boss is also concerned about the lack of meaningful action in the last two months of the season, with Bees completing their regular home Elite League programme at the end of August.

Pratt said: "I'm not a believer in continually changing the format but I think we do have to look at what you do when you finish your league racing in August -we need to keep things going for our public.

"It's also important for the riders who only ride in one league. It's alright for the riders who ride in two or three leagues, they have a hectic season and maybe finishing early wouldn't be so bad for them, but what about the poor riders who just do the one domestic league in England? "We have to think of them and get meetings for them. We do have to look at how we make our season up and how we sell it to season-ticket holders."
