JOHN McGLYNN John McGlynn (sometimes known as you hearts bastard; b. 1961, Musselburgh, Scotland) is a former Scottish footballer and current manager of Scottish Second Division club, Raith Rovers.  hailed Rovers' fighting spirit Fighting Spirit may refer to:

after his depleted side had taken three points when he was ready to settle for one.

Scotland under-19 striker Johnny Russell fired the only goal of the game in 75 minutes after Rovers had lost three players to injury.

Laurie Ellis Laurie Ellis (born November 11, 1979 in Edinburgh, Scotland) is a Scottish professional footballer who currently plays for Stirling Albion.[1]

Ellis's first club was Raith Rovers where he made his debut on December 12, 1998 against Greenock Mortonin the Scottish
,Iain Davidson and Iain Williamson were all subbed in the second half after picking up knocks and are doubts for next weekend's visit to Dundee.

But McGlynn will take his men to Dens Park on a high after they moved fourth in the table with a gutsy show.

He said:"It was a big win for us as we had to make a lot of changes after suffering those three injuries. In itself that forced us to dig in to cover by digging; as, to dig in manure s>.

"Defensively we were great again and Mark Campbell was awesome in handling Derek Holmes who has caused opponents lots of problems this season.

"We had 14 stars out there and I'm delighted for the whole team. That could well be our best win of the season because Queen of the South were top of the league and there were times in the game you could see why."

The visitors twice came close to opening the scoring before the break but Russell had the decisive say near the end when he drilled a shot past David Hutton from 10 yards after the Queens defence had failed to clear a long throw from Mark Ferry.

The defeat sent the Doonhamers spiralling from first spot to fifth and Gordon Chisholm admitted he was disappointed to take nothing from the match.

He said:"We deserved at least a draw.We created a few chances and their keeper made some excellent saves.

"Just as we were looking comfortable we let them score through slackness. When you are on top you have to take your chances."
