Boss aims to build team of pass masters.


BLUES are showing signs of being a better team than a year ago, when they recorded their best ever start to a league campaign.

That has heartened Alex McLeish Alexander "Alex" McLeish (born January 21 1959, Barrhead, Renfrewshire, Scotland) nicknamed "Big Eck",[1] is a former professional footballer and is currently manager of the Scotland national team. , who said they remained "a work in progress".

"The one thing the boys have got is fantastic spirit," he said.

"That has been cultivated and harnessed over the last seasonand-a-half.

"They keep trying and I think there's an improvement in quality since the start of the Championship last season.

"I don't mean player-wise but in terms of our passing.
