Among the functions of the SPSA are police training, staff registration, maintenance of national information systems and a new criminal technics , which has been accused of interference by senior officers. Authority." Concerns have been raised over how the body was being run since it was set up in 2006, with a string of high-profile resignations blamed on the authority.
