 had been turned down by Willie Waddell and Eddie Turnbull, was in charge for less than three months in 1966 and did not win any of the four games played.

All were at Hampden - one Home International and three friendlies.

Two goals by Alan Gordon and a Billy McNeill og had Hibs 3-0 up at Hampden on August 5, 1972, but Celts hit back with that Jinky double and one at the right end from McNeill. The Hibs scorers in extra time were Jim O'Rourke and Arthur Duncan. A 49,462 crowd watched the action. Celtic - Williams. McGrain, Brogan, Murdoch, McNeill, Connelly, Johnstone, Dalglish, Deans (Wilson), Macari, Callaghan.

A After a 2-2 draw at Broomfield, the teams met at Tynecastle on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 12, 1952. Willie Bauld (3), Eddie Rutherford (2) and Jimmy Wardhaugh hit the Hearts goals and Ian McMillan and Guy Lennox had doubles for Airdrie. No extra time was required for a fourth-round replay that was watched by 41,966 fans.
