Through May 2005, Cambridge had reviewed 140 origination requests totaling $1.11 billion. For the same period in 2004 the company had reviewed 190 requests totaling $1.23 billion.

Davis points out that lenders close a relatively small percentage of the origination requests they receive, but tracking this information is useful as an indication of market activity.
