Borland Software Corporation (Nasdaq:BORL), a leading provider of e-business platform solutions, today announced an agreement with Ingram Micro India Limited (IMIL) to distribute Borland products throughout India. Ingram Micro (NYSE:IM), the world's largest wholesale provider of technology products and services, has one of the largest distribution networks in India with offices across 23 cities. Ingram Micro will distribute Borland(R) JBuilder(TM), Delphi(TM) and C++ Builder(TM) rapid application development (RAD) products to resellers throughout India, helping Borland extend its reach to the growing small and medium business segment in India. Currently, Borland works with Ingram Micro to deliver Borland products throughout more than 30 countries worldwide.

According to India's National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), the IT manufacturing sector in India is growing at an average rate of 28-30 percent annually, marking the appointment of Ingram Micro as a strategic move to expand Borland's presence in the Indian market.
