Borland Promotes Frank Slootman to Senior Vice President of Software Products.

Borland Software Corporation (Nasdaq:BORL) today announced that Frank Slootman has been promoted to senior vice president of software products at Borland. Slootman joined Borland in July 2000 as vice president of products and has since become a key member of the senior management team managing Borland's businesses focused on the industry leading technologies used to develop, deploy and integrate software application. Slootman is also responsible for research and development of Borland's emerging technologies and strategies for Linux(R), Java(TM), .NET, Web Services, and wireless, among others.
