Borland Helps Customers Advance Software Processes and Quality Assurance Agendas.

SEATTLE -- Fifteen Customer Wins Build Momentum for Borland/TeraQuest Process Optimization Practice; Industry Luminaries to Speak at Annual SEPG Conference

Borland Software Corporation (Nasdaq:BORL), a global leader for Software Delivery Optimization solutions, today announced that its Process Optimization Practice signed several new customers this quarter and continues to gain significant momentum by helping customers align people, process and technology within the software delivery lifecycle. During this calendar quarter Certegy Check Services, INDUS Corporation, Scientific Games International and over a dozen other companies chose Borland/TeraQuest to help them drive process improvement initiatives within their organizations.

Remove the extra space if one exists.)) and creation of its new Process Optimization Practice, which adds world-class process consulting services and assets focused on helping customers improve their software processes by leveraging industry standard models like CMMI(R), PMBOK, PSM, and Agile methodologies. Today also marks the beginning of the Software Engineering Process Group's (SEPG) Conference, where Borland executives will speak on topics such as measurement, governance and enterprise risk management.

According to INDUS, the processes and procedures TeraQuest helped develop to support CMM have contributed to the company's high award fee rating by helping manage requirements, track project financial status, and adhere to agreed upon schedules.
