Faricy Vice President, Multimedia Marketing, effective Aug. 29. In his new post, Faricy will be responsible for developing strategic merchandising and marketing plans for the Multimedia product area at Borders, which includes music and DVD/video. In addition, he will develop and strengthen relationships with the Multimedia vendor community and work with his team to develop and implement innovative programs and technology to drive Multimedia sales and profit. He will report to Borders Group Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Mike Spinozzi.

Before joining Borders Group, Faricy served in several strategic leadership roles with Ford Motor Co., Dearborn, Mich., most recently working in the capacity of Detroit area Regional Operations Manager See datacenter manager. , Lincoln Mercury. For Ford, he also held positions as Executive Director, Business Development, Ford North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere.  and Director, Corporate Initiatives Office. Prior to joining Ford, Faricy was an Associate, and later an Engagement Manager, with McKinsey & Co., consulting with U.S. and European companies It may never be fully completed or, depending on its its nature, it may be that it can never be completed. With more than 24,000 music titles in the typical store, Borders is the nation's top-seller of such genres as new age and world music and is a leader in sales of classical and jazz titles as well. Borders stores also offer B-Listening(TM), a revolutionary preview technology that allows customers to preview nearly all music titles available in the store before buying. Borders also offers Classical and Jazz Essentials programs. For these programs, Borders' music buyers have identified hundreds of "must have" CDs to help customers build music libraries. The buyer-recommended selections are highlighted throughout the store.

The average Borders store carries more than 7,000 titles in DVD format, ranging from new releases to classics. In addition, Borders offers a broad selection of foreign films as well as a wide variety of health and fitness titles and documentaries. The selection of video for children is also vast, with more than 700 titles available.
