Borders Books & Music to Open Store in Stockton, Calif.

Borders Books & Music(R) will open a 22,000-square-foot store in Stockton, Calif., in July 2004. The store will be located in the Park West Place shopping center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into  at the intersection of I-5 and Eight Mile Road. The new Borders will offer Stockton residents a comfortable place to explore a vast selection of book, music, DVD DVD: see digital versatile disc.
