Credit Union Seeks to Significantly Reduce Processing, Courier Costs

The credit union is also experiencing fewer losses from bad checks and the imaging allows it to make exceptions and clear checks in a shorter amount of time, providing faster access to funds for its 21,000 members.

Integrated Document Imaging has also allowed Border FCU to eliminate the printing of reports. The audit feature that is built into the application converts documents in the credit union in digital form and trust that it is properly reviewed before the original paper is destroyed. This gives the staff more time to not only manage document image quality, but also maintain the integrity of filing. And since Integrated Document Imaging stores all of Border FCU's documents in one centralized database, the time and costs associated with document management, retrieval and storage have been significantly reduced.
