CULTURE Club members can win a pair of tickets to see the 'Best Big Band in the Land'' at the Empire Theatre, Consett Consett (kŏn`sət), town (1991 pop. 33,433), Durham, NE England. The major economic focus is on engineering. The town has associations with the Roman, Saxon, and Norman conquests. A German colony of swordmakers settled in Consett in the 17th cent. , on Thursday October 15 at 7.30pm.
