He told NL/NL, "I'm a new publisher with a new newsletter."

Lent wrote in the inaugural issue, "Our robust $72 billion government services industry has a low profile in the business press and in professional and academic literature. Except for contract awards, executive changes, mergers and acquisitions, or the occasional troubled contract, there is little coverage of the suppliers--the companies--compared with the government customers."

Answering his own question, "Does the industry need another trade publication?" Lent said, "Yes. There are some excellent ones, but, for the most part, they strongly focus on the demand side (customers), not the suppliers of services. And they don't really cover how things are done in the industry. They're in the news business, while the Insider is really in the know-how business. There's a thirst for that."
