Boost for Wylfa job prospects.

BUILDING a new nuclear power station at Wylfa on Anglesey would create hundreds of jobs and Mr Cameron said he would support that, adding: "We are in favour of these new nuclear power stations going ahead, as long as they can be built without public subsidy.

"Nuclear should be part of the mix going forward, if it can be done without tax payers' back-up. The industry knows that and believes they can go and build them on that basis."

And what of offshore wind farms? "Our policy is to be more balanced between renewable technologies," he added. "All energies must be tapped and we need a more decentralised energy system in interests of businesses and homeowners to generate their own electricity and sell it back to the grid."
