Boost Mobile Pro Set to Go; Mainland America's Premier Professional Surf Competition to Be Held Sept. 13, 14, 15, 16 and 18.

IRVINE, Calif. -- After consulting with California State Parks, Boost Mobile(R) has announced that the 2005 Boost Mobile Pro of Surf Presented by Quiksilver will be held Sept. 13, 14, 15, 16 and 18 at the famed Lower Trestles near San Clemente, Calif. Following Foster's Men's World Tour events in the best wave locations throughout the world, the fourth annual Boost Mobile Pro of Surf is the only opportunity for spectators to see the world's top 45 pro surfers compete on the U.S. mainland.

The top 45 professional surfers in the world plus three wild card contestants will compete at "Lowers," which is considered to be the premier high-performance surfing location on mainland USA. As the eighth of 12 events on this year's Foster's Men's World Tour, the Boost Mobile Pro serves as a critical point in the 2005 race for the illustrious world title.

This year the Boost Mobile pro will also feature the Mazda Airshow, the Foster's Expression Session, the final of the Quiksilver Shop Challenge, and, for the first time, a trials round to select the three wildcard contestants. The world's best surfers travel the globe competing at 12 premier wave locations, to determine the World Champion. Next up are Jeffrey's Bay in South Africa, and then Chiba in Japan just prior to coming to Trestles, Calif.
