The top 45 professional surfers in the world plus three wild card contestants will compete at "Lowers," which is considered to be the premier high-performance surfing location on mainland USA. As the eighth of 12 events on this year's Foster's Men's World Tour, the Boost Mobile Pro serves as a critical point in the 2005 race for the illustrious world title.
