It provides advanced integration out-of-the-box between the industry-leading, best-of-breed service level management solution from Boole & Babbage, COMMAND/POST(R), and the Peregrine Systems Infrastructure Service Desk solution, ServiceCenter(R). The connect ServiceCenter integration solution makes it easier for customers to manage their end-user environment to ensure the fastest possible response to issues that might affect the availability of mission-critical applications.

By leveraging the capability of Boole & Babbage's COMMAND/POST to correlate and consolidate event information from a problem "storm," the single, underlying problem is identified and connect ServiceCenter automatically generates a problem ticket. Peregrine Systems ServiceCenter then automatically prioritizes, logs, tracks and dispatches personnel accordingly until the problem is resolved. Resolution is communicated back to COMMAND/POST, and the ticket is closed.

With this process, confusion, diagnosis time, manual error (from problem ticket entry, and sometimes double entry) and overall costs are reduced. The enterprise service desk can quickly and proactively communicate and resolve issues. Because trouble ticketing is automated, it is more consistent and simplifies historical reporting which can be displayed from an end-to-end perspective using COMMAND/POST, or from the ServiceCenter Problem Management Client.
