SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 25, 1996--Furthering its leadership in managing Parallel Sysplex environments, Boole & Babbage, Inc. (NASDAQ:BOOL) today announced that its MainView product line has been recognized through independent testing as a state-of-the-art sysplex management solution. The test results also validate the performance of Amdahl Millennium CMOS-based and 5995M ECL-based System/390 processors running in a Parallel Sysplex configuration, supported by performance management information gathered and analyzed by various MainView products.

The extensive testing, conducted by software engineers in the Amdahl Test Laboratory in Sunnyvale, California, provides reciprocal verification of the latest Amdahl hardware running in a sysplex configuration and the capabilities of Boole & Babbage systems Management tools in a multivendor Parallel Sysplex environment.
