) the nation's third largest bookseller, proudly welcomes Ed McMahon Edward "Ed" Peter Leo McMahon, Jr. (born March 6, 1923) is an American comedian, game show host, announcer and television personality most famous for his work on television as Johnny Carson's announcer on Who Do You Trust? from 1957 to 1962 and on the Tonight Show  to Books-A-Million at Westward Shopping Center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into  at 2471 Okeechobee Boulevard. Tuesday, December 1, at 2:00 p.m., Mr. McMahon will be signing his new autobiography, "For Laughing Out Loud: My Life And Good Times."

For 50 years, Ed McMahon has been an integral part of the American television experience. From his early days as Philadelphia's "Mr. Television" to his 30 years as Johnny Carson's sidekick on "The Tonight Show" as well as his stint as host of "Star Search," Ed McMahon has become much more than an announcer and spokesperson; he is a television icon.
