) today announced that it will provide an online Web simulcast of its third quarter 2000 conference call on Tuesday, November 14, 2000. The Company will release financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended October 28, 2000, on Tuesday afternoon.

The live broadcast of Books-A-Million's conference call will begin at 4:00 p.m. Central Time on November 14, 2000. The link to this event may be found at the Company's website: www.booksamillioninc.com.

If you are unable to participate at that time, an online replay will be available two hours after the call ends and will continue through December 19, 2000.
