) today announced that it will provide an online Web simulcast of its fourth quarter / year-end conference call on Wednesday, March 20, 2002. The Company will release results for the fourth quarter and year ended February 2, 2002, that afternoon.

The live broadcast of Books-A-Million's conference call will begin at 4:00 p.m. Central Time on March 20, 2002. The link to this event may be found at the Company's website: www.booksamillioninc.com.

If you are unable to participate at that time, an online replay will be available two hours after the call ends and will continue through April 20, 2002.
