Books Alive Campaign Market Research.


The Australia Council, the Federal Government's arts funding and advisory body, assists professional artists, arts organizations and community groups to create, present, tour, develop skills, expand markets and forge innovative partnerships.

The Australia Council seeks the immediate appointment of a market research company or consultant to undertake an eight-week qualitative market research project for the Books Alive Campaign.

The campaign aims to promote the intrinsic value Intrinsic Value

1. The value of a company or an asset based on an underlying perception of the value.

 of books, reading and literacy (particularly for children) and the books of Australian writers and is part of the Federal Government's Book Industry Assistance Plan.

The focus of this national research project is on reading books for pleasure, particularly as it relates to non-, lapsed LEGACY, LAPSED. A legacy is said to be lapsed or extinguished, when the legatee dies before the testator, or before the condition upon which the legacy is given has been performed, or before the time at which it is directed to vest in interest has arrived.  and reluctant book readers and children. There are to important parts to the research brief:

* a comprehensive review of Australian-based research into book reading, buying and borrowing habits; and

* in-depth, qualitative research Qualitative research

Traditional analysis of firm-specific prospects for future earnings. It may be based on data collected by the analysts, there is no formal quantitative framework used to generate projections.

A record of successful qualitative research in the book/publishing sector is highly desirable.
