There are traditional fairytale elements to this story, such as a child stolen away, a wicked queen who casts a spell and an almost impossible challenge to break it. At the same time there's a much more modern feel to the character of Rose who instead of just putting up with the situation decides to take matters into her own hands. This story is an enjoyable read which keeps readers guessing until the last few pages whether the characters will be allowed a happy ending,**** |
