Book in for a passport.

HOLMFIRTH Library has become the latest facility in the area to start issuing Kirklees Passports.

It brings the number of libraries in the district that issue the documents up to eight.

Kirklees Passports are also available at Meltham, Shepley, Birstall, Birkby and Fartown, Lindley, Deighton and Skelmanthorpe Library and Information Centres.

In addition, the passports are issued at the Kirklees Information Points in Civic Centre 1 in Huddersfield, at Dewsbury Town Hall, and at Peel Street
There is also a Peel Street in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, in West London, in the UK.

Applicants will need to provide their own photograph when they apply for a Kirklees Passport passport

Document issued by a national government identifying a traveler as a citizen with a right to protection while abroad and a right to return to the country of citizenship. It is normally a small booklet containing a description and photograph of the bearer.

Any resident of Kirklees who is receiving certain benefits, such as council tax or housing benefit, or certain types of tax credit, qualifies for the special card.

Full-time students over 16, people with a disability and those who are registered as unemployed are also eligible for the new passports.

"They contribute so much to young and old alike, and are an incentive to get out and enjoy some fresh air."

Tim sent an email to the three Lindley ward councillors and was pleased to get an immediate response from Clr Tony Brice and Clr Christine Stanfield.

Conservative Clr Brice said he had already put a lot of work into clearing up the area.

He said: "I'm a bit annoyed because a lot has been done to address the problem.
