The book is being launched by Birmingham and West Midlands group of The Victorian Society at a symposium at the old Banking Hall of Wragge & Co on Colmore Row Colmore Row is a street in the centre of Birmingham, England, running from Victoria Square to just beyond Snow Hill station. It is traditionally the city's most prestigious business address. on September 26. The banking hall was designed by H R Yeoville Thomason H. R. Yeoville Thomason (1826-1901) was an architect in Birmingham, England. He was born in Edinburgh to a Birmingham family. Thomason set up his own practice in Birmingham 1853-1854. He was a grandson of Sir Edward Thomason, a button and toy maker in Birmingham. , who has a chapter dedicated to him in the book. |
