Talk about NutRageous!

Oxford selectmen SELECTMEN. The name of certain officers in several of the United States, who are invested by the statutes of the several states with various powers.  have hit a Sour Patch with many parents over their ruling that trick-or-treating will be moved to Nov. 1 this year.

The roads on Friday night - when Oct. 31 falls this year - are too scary with traffic, they say, so trick-or-treating time should be moved to Saturday.

That can be presumed or taken for granted; reasonable as a supposition: presumable causes of the disaster.
 Life Saver is really just a Dum Dum in costume. The roads on a typical Saturday night are hardly quiet either, and most drivers are extra cautious on Halloween anyway. A more reasonable solution might have been to increase police patrols or recruit parent volunteers for the prime trick-or-treating hours on Oct. 31.

Sending children out the day after one of their most-anticipated nights of the year would seem to smack more of Whatchamacallit than Halloween. Besides, if Oxford makes the switch alone, some children from surrounding towns might capitalize on a Now and Later candy opportunity, heading to Oxford on Saturday night for some extra stash stash Drug slang noun A place where illicit drugs are hidden  and causing additional toil and trouble for safety lookouts. And what about children who eschew the rule? Parents would be Smarties Smarties may refer to:

We suggest selectmen swallow their pride and realize it's rules like these that get so many fed up Good & Plenty with well-meaning but unnecessary governmental intrusion. Restore the sneakers sneakers
