Bono has reportedly made arrangements to help finance the Spider-Man musical which could have been scrapped due to financial problems.

Apparently, the Irish rocker has convinced his wealthy friends to invest in the show.

"Bono's too smart to put his own money in the show, but word on the street is that he's tapped into his vast network of rich friends and business associates to restart production," the Daily Express quoted New York Post The New York Post is the 13th-oldest newspaper published in the United States and the oldest to have been published continually as a daily.[3] Since 1976, it has been owned by Australian-born billionaire Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation and is one of the 10  columnist Michael Riedel as writing.

He added: "Bono feeds half of Africa. So raising a few more million for Spider-Man shouldn't be too difficult."

The work on the stage show was halted last month amid rumors that producers Hello Entertainment were suffering from financial crunch.

However, show bosses insisted that the musical had not been called off, even after reports came that crew and castmembers, including Evan Rachel Wood, had been released from their contracts.

Bono and bandmate The Edge have written the music for the Broadway extravaganza ex·trav·a·gan·za
