By Ellie Walker, Thalia Tams and Jane Harland We had a fun week and each class had a different country to learn about and Year 2 was Scotland. We wore tartan clothes.

Loch Ness monster

supposed sea serpent dwelling in lake. [Scot. Hist.
 visited Year 2 and told us about Scotland. We wrote a letter asking people not to throw rubbish into the loch. In Scotland the Loch Ness monster is called Nessie.

Year 2 learnt a Scottish song about a wedding called Marie's Wedding and sang it to an audience.

We made Scottish flags This is a list of flags that are used exclusively in Scotland. Other flags used in Scotland, as well as the rest of the United Kingdom can be found at List of British flags.  with tissue paper and waved them at the opening ceremony.
