Bonnie Takhar Named President and CEO of Legendary Fashion House, Halston.

Former Jimmy Choo executive to lead Halston brand rebuilding team

NEW YORK -- Hilco Consumer Capital, LLC and The Weinstein Co., co-investors and principal owners of The Halston Company, today announced the appointment of Bonnie Takhar as Halston's President and Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Takhar had been Chief Commercial Officer of Jimmy Choo[R] Limited, the international maker and retailer of luxury shoes and fashion accessories.

Bonnie Takhar's new role unites her with Tamara Mellon and influential fashion stylist, Rachel Zoe. Ms. Mellon, founder of Jimmy Choo, was named to the Halston board of directors in March of this year and is helping structure the Halston management team. Ms. Zoe and Ms. Mellon are both members of Halston's creative advisory team.

Ms. Takhar brings considerable fashion industry business experience to Halston. She has held managerial positions with Donna Karan and the Nicole Farhi Group. In 1999 she joined Earl Jean, Inc. as the London-based CEO of Earl Jean Europe. Her introduction of the company's premium denim fashion line into Europe led to the establishment of more than 400 retail accounts and two stand-alone stores. Within four years the company had grown non-U.S. sales from zero to PS15 million and had become one of the best recognized, high-quality fashion brands throughout the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. In 2002, Earl Jean, Inc. was acquired by Nautica Enterprises, Inc. and Ms. Takhar was appointed Global President of Earl Jean. She relocated to Nautica's headquarters in New York where she remained until 2004 when she joined Jimmy Choo as Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer on business development. In 2006, she was appointed Chief Commercial Officer of Jimmy Choo.

Halston, one of the most prolific fashion names worldwide, was acquired in March, 2007 by a group of investors led by Hilco Consumer Capital, LLC and The Weinstein Company. Throughout its history, Halston has launched some of the most influential fashion trends and inspired some of the most iconic names in fashion. The investor group has begun a rebuilding process for the brand, which is best known for dressing the international jet set during the 1960s and 1970s.
