Bonnie Ammer named president and publisher of Fodor's Travel Publications.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 22, 1996--Bonnie Ammer has been appointed president and publisher of Fodor's Travel Publications Inc., it was announced today by Philip M. Pfeffer, president of Random House Inc.

Fodor's is a division of Random House Inc., the world's largest English-language general trade book publisher.

Ammer was previously vice president and publisher of the Fodor's Book Group. She succeeds Kristina Peterson, who will be leaving the company to become chief executive officer of DK Publishing Inc. She will report to Pfeffer.

Ammer joined Fodor's in 1994 from Macmillan, where she was vice president and director of marketing. She had been responsible since 1985 for all marketing for both Macmillan's Adult Trade and Reference divisions, including the Berlitz and AAA AAA: see American Automobile Association.
