Bonds battle goes on for WTC.


Though he was still waiting for the rest of his Liberty Bonds after the Industrial Development Agency's meeting last week, Larry Silverstein Larry A. Silverstein (born 1932 in Bedford-Stuyvesant in Brooklyn, New York) is an American billionaire real estate investor and operator and the head of Silverstein Properties, a real estate development group.  ended up with $1.67 billion in additional funds after Governor George E. Pataki announced he was granting the developer the state's share of the money.

City executives, on the other hand, are still debating whether they should let Silverstein walk away with another billion dollars.

Sources close to the developer maintain that the city government is just trying to work out the details of the Bonds package, and Silverstein remains optimistic op·ti·mist

The Silverstein camp believes that city officials are considering using the Bonds to lure lure
