Based upon the exploration plan, Bonaventure plans to drill up to 9000 feet to expand the resource that had been indicated in historic drilling. This resource was completed prior to implementation of National Instrument 43-101. These historic resource figures have not been redefined to conform to CIM (1) (Computer-Integrated Manufacturing) Integrating office/accounting functions with automated factory systems. Point of sale, billing, machine tool scheduling and supply ordering are part of CIM. approved standards, as defined by National Instrument 43-101. The property is optioned from White Knight Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:WKR WKR Wrecker WKR Watchkeeping Receiver (maritime) ) with BVT able to earn up to a 60 percent interest in the property. The Phase 1 program will include drilling angle RC and core holes in the vicinity of a gold resource announced by a previous operator, Westmont Gold Inc. Previous drilling showed thick intercepts with high grade gold ranging up to 0.5 oz/ton. The initial drilling program will occur over a known gold resource occurring in a jasperoid (see image on left) that outcrops at the surface and dips below cover at about 45 degrees to the west. The higher-grade portion of the jasperoid is approximately 3,000 feet (900 m) and averages 100 feet in width. The angle hole program will also test volcanic rocks above the resource that were not assayed previously and explore possible high grade feeder faults below the deposit. The program is expected to last until the end of the year.
