Beaumont Hospitals to Acquire Bon Secours Hospital and Related Facilities;

Henry Ford Health System To Be Sole Owner of Cottage Hospital The original concept of a cottage hospital was a small rural hospital having up to 25 beds. One advantage of such a hospital in villages was the familiarity the local physician might have with their patient that may affect their treatment.

The next steps in the process are to complete the terms of the definitive agreements, and address appropriate regulatory steps. This is expected to take several months.
