Originally beginning as an alternative to the Grammy Awards, the MTV Video Music Awards is now a respected pop culture awards show in its own right. , recommended the Avid|DS system be used for the Bon Jovi video and served as executive producer on the project. "We were extremely pleased with the quality and efficiency of the Avid|DS system," said Director Todd Kellstein of SuperMega. "We were impressed by the stability of the system, and how it let us quickly and easily create any visual effect we could dream up - from flying television sets to 3D creature creation."

"Everyday" was shot on film, edited on an Avid Media Composer(R) system and then transferred to the Avid|DS system at Kroma's LA facility for effects and compositing work. "With this system, we can literally do anything we can imagine," said Kroma's Avid|DS operator, Bert Yukich. "From using the vector paint tool for sky replacements on nearly every shot to replacing the scan lines on the flying televisions with video, we just kept pushing the limits."

Yukich was originally trained as an Avid Media Composer editor, but he has been working as a visual effects artist for the past seven years. He was introduced to the Avid|DS system when it was in version 2.0 and has exclusively used the product ever since. Kroma Productions opened in December 2001 and has already completed effects work on television shows and music videos for a variety of artists, including Madonna, Eminem, Ricky Martin and more than 30 others.
