 Corporation, a leading provider of e-business services for the $376 billion foodservice industry, today announced it has signed a contract with Bon Appetit, a leader in institutional foodservice, to provide data warehousing See data warehouse.

Bon Appetit will use Instill(R) Purchase Insight(sm) to collect and analyze all purchase data from their units and report that information back to corporate headquarters. Through the service, valuable information is derived to negotiate with suppliers and vendors and track off-contract buying from their units, thus significantly lowering their food costs.

Bon Appetit's objective is to deliver to each client a unique food experience targeted to the client's individual needs. In order to achieve this, Bon Appetit gives each of their 175 on-staff chefs a broad bandwidth from which to order their products from their suppliers to deliver that unique eating experience.

"Since we negotiate so many items with our suppliers, it becomes virtually impossible to track all the individual purchasing our units have transacted," said Ernie Collins, president, Bon Appetit.
