Bombardier receives bi-level commuter car contract for northern California.NEW YORK--(BUSINESSWIRE)--Oct. 2, 1996--Bombardier Transit Corporation, a subsidiary of Bombardier Inc., was awarded a contract for the manufacture and supply of eight aluminum bi-level commuter railcars for the San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission (SJRRC) in California. The contract is valued at $16 million. The vehicles will be manufactured by Bombardier's Mass Transit Division at its Thunder Bay facility. Delivery is scheduled to begin in October, 1997.
