Bombardier Signs Lufthansa for 12 CRJ900 Airliners.


TORONTO -- Bombardier Aerospace Bombardier Aerospace is a division of the Bombardier group, with the third largest workforce (behind Boeing and Airbus) and the fourth largest in yearly delivery of commercial airplanes (behind Boeing, Airbus and Embraer).  announced today that Deutsche Lufthansa AG has signed a firm order to acquire 12 Bombardier CRJ CRJ redirects here. The Bombardier CRJ (Canadair Regional Jet) is a family of regional airliners manufactured by Bombardier, and based on the Canadair Challenger business jet.
900 regional jets for its regional airline network.

The value of the contract was not disclosed.

Lufthansa has been a Bombardier CRJ Series customer since 1992 when its Lufthansa CityLine regional airline became the first airline in the world to operate the pioneering 50-seat Bombardier CRJ100 aircraft.

Lufthansa joins another customer in Europe, Styrian Spirit of Graz, Austria to become the latest CRJ900 operator.
