Bombardier Signs Contract With Air Wisconsin for up to 150 CRJ200 Regional Jets.

"We intend to deploy our CRJ fleet out of our Chicago and Denver hubs," said Air Wisconsin chairman, president and chief executive officer Geoff Crowley. "The new CRJ fleet will provide a benchmark standard in our operations on behalf of United Express throughout our route network," he said.

Based in Appleton, Wisconsin, Air Wisconsin currently operates nine CRJ200 aircraft. Deliveries for the new tranche of aircraft will begin in September 2001.

Under terms of the contract, Air Wisconsin will have the flexibility to operate a mix of 40-, 44-, and 50-passenger CRJ200 models in its fleet to tailor seating capacity to specific route requirements.
