Bombardier Sells CRJ700 Aircraft to Shandong Airlines of China.Business Editors TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 6, 2002 First 70-Seat Regional Jet Sale in Asia-Pacific Region Bombardier Aerospace announced today that Shandong Airlines of The People's Republic of China has signed a contract to purchase two 70-seat Bombardier CRJ700(a) regional jets. The airline will be the first Bombardier CRJ700 operator in China and in the Asia-Pacific region. Deliveries are scheduled for the third and fourth quarter of 2003. Shandong Airlines, based at Jinan in Shandong Province, currently operates eight 50-passenger Bombardier CRJ200(a) regional jets, five of which were acquired from Bombardier and three of which were leased from General Electric Capital Aviation Services (GECAS GECAS General Electric Commercial Aviation Services ).
