Bombardier Receives an Order for the Delivery of 26 Trams to the City of Marseille.

MONTREAL -- Bombardier Transportation received an order from the Communaute Urbaine Marseille Provence Metropole (CUMPM) for the delivery of 26 bi-directional Bombardier FLEXITY Outlook trams. The new 100% low-floor trams will be put in service on the new tram network of Marseille that will open at the beginning of 2007. The value of the contract amounts to approximately $81 million US (61 million Euros). Deliveries are scheduled between September 2006 and April 2007.

"This order by the second largest city in France demonstrates the trust in our engineering competence and the implementation of a truly innovative and aesthetic industrial design. We are looking forward to soon present the realisation of the vehicle as a 1:1 mock-up mock·up also mock-up

in Marseille," stated Andre Navarri, President, Bombardier Transportation.

The FLEXITY tram for Marseille is based on a proven modular technology that features a 100 % low-floor interior while using conventional wheel-set bogies which offer excellent dynamic characteristics in terms of comfort and safety. The vehicles also include the Bombardier's MITRAC propulsion and control system featuring the latest electronic technology.

The FLEXITY concept allowed a high degree of freedom to tailor the vehicles to the exclusive and innovative design created by MBD MBD
