The total value of the contract is approximately Cdn$24 million (16,8 million euros) and Bombardier Transportation's share is about Cdn$14 million (10 million euros).

The transaction carries an option for 18 additional trams. Delivery of the vehicles is scheduled to take place between February and August 2003.

Bombardier Transportation will be responsible for the development and the production of the vehicles as well as for the system integration and testing. . Bombardier Transportation's facility in Bautzen, Germany will provide the carbodies and final assembly will be carried out at the customer's facility in Krakow.

A total of 14 low-floor trams of the same design are in revenue service in Krakow since December 1999. Similar vehicles are also in service in Kassel and Essen, Germany since 1999.
