This order represents the exercise of an option included in the contract awarded on May 24, 1999 for the supply of 192 electrical multiple unit commuter cars Commuter Cars is a Spokane, Washington based company founded by Rick Woodbury and his son Bryan. They are beginning production of the first of their line of ultra-narrow electric sports cars, the Tango T600. and options for 808 additional cars. The exercise of this option brings the total value of the contract to US $515 million.
