Bomb plans delay trains.


THE discovery of bombmaking notes on a train sparked a bank holiday security alert, it was revealed today.

Armed police were called in to search two trains at Luton Luton (l`tən), city (1991 pop. 163,209), S central England on the Lea River. The largest city of Bedfordshire, it is administratively independent of the county.  station last night after cleaners found documents describing "how to make a bomb", Bedfordshire Police Bedfordshire Police is the Home Office police force responsible for policing the ceremonial county of Bedfordshire in England, which includes the unitary authority of Luton. Its headquarters are in Kempston.  said.

The notes were found at 8.23pm while one of the trains was at Bedford Station, and it left for Luton with around 50 passengers before the staff could raise the alarm.

Both trains were delayed for nearly an hour before the all-clear was given.
