Bomb jibe at airport.

A DRUNKEN Scots holidaymaker sparked an airport security alert after joking he had a bomb in his hand luggage.

The 22-year-old skier allegedly told Glasgow Airport staff he was carrying a device in his bag after being quizzed about its contents.

Security officials had asked him what was in his luggage as he passed through the airport X-ray machine.

And the unnamed man allegedly told them: "Nothing - except for the bomb."

He was later charged with breach of the peace and is due to appear at Paisley Paisley (pāz`lē), town (1991 pop. 84,330), Renfrewshire, W Scotland, on the White Cart Water, a stream. It has a thriving textile industry and is an extremely large producer of thread.  Sheriff Court later today.

A spokeswoman for Glasgow Airport said: "We take incidents like this very seriously."
