Bolton manager Sam Allardyce <noinclude></noinclude>

Samuel "Sam" Allardyce (born October 19 1954 in Dudley, West Midlands) is an English former professional football player and current football manager. He is currently the manager of Newcastle United of the English Premier League.

The Senegal international had a meeting with a heart specialist in Belgium yesterday after collapsing on the pitch.

Allardyce said: "We have got to know why it happened. The best person to tell us that is the person who knows his case history and that is his specialist in Belgium.

"Khalilou came out all clear from the hospital but as a precautionary measure we have sent him to his surgeon to check him over and give us an opinion.

"Everyone relates to the fact that he fainted to what his condition was before. But we don't know that yet. Until we do then we cannot take the matter forward."

Fadiga was released from hospital on Thursday after being taken ill during the warm-up the previous night before the Carling car·ling

He arrived at Bolton last month and was given the all-clear by their medical staff following concerns over surgery in Belgium for an irregular heartbeat. He signed a deal until the end of the season following his release from Inter Milan.

Fadiga is yet to start a game and was due to be on the bench in midweek but concerns remain about his well-being.

Meanwhile Allardyce is set to field the side that defeated Tottenham in the league.
