The reason Pankh is making news is that this time the seductress is quite an out- of- thebox character. In Pankh , Bipasha is cast in the usual role of a seductress who doesn't actually exist anywhere but in the fantasy of an adolescent boy. In the film, Bipasha's phantom character loves to taunt and provoke the boy over his various dilemmas in life. Debutant De`bu`tant´ n. 1. A person who makes his (or her) first appearance before the public. actor Maradona Rebello plays the central role of the tormented adolescent, so Bipasha Basu's name in the cast has been and will be used fully to drive the advertising campaign of the film. Even before the promos air on TV, Pankh has been making waves with Bipasha- related news. To begin with, Bipasha's refusing to smoke in a scene was liberally played up in the media. And then the fact that she is trying a Sophia Loren look in the film has also been flaunted. Pankh director Sudipto Chattopadhyay decided to style Bipasha's sex appeal on the legendary Sophia Loren because of her extraordinary characterisation. After all, Bipasha's presence seems to be the only USP USP - unique sales point for Pankh , a film that is struggling to find a release date right now. The film, touted as bold even before it hit the floors, will also see Bipasha spewing a couple of cuss words by way of dialogues. In fact, Sudipto didn't want the Censor Board to chop off parts where Bipasha uses the F- word in the film, even if it meant settling for an ' adults only' certificate. The risquE ris·qué adj. Defending the scene, Sudipto says: " I didn't set out to project Bipasha as a fantasy in a dirty manner. But her hot look has certainly helped us promote the film."
