Boise wins first playoff game.

EVERETT, Wash. - Boise took the first game of the best-of-five Northwest League The Northwest League is a class A minor league. The league is the descendant of the Western International League which ran as a class B league from 1937-1951 (with time out for WWII) and class A from 1952-1954.  baseball championship series on Thursday, beating host Everett 3-2.

The Hawks tallied all their runs in the third inning to go up 3-1, then held the AquaSox to just one seventh-inning run despite Everett's 12-hit offensive attack. Boise came up with just seven hits.

The teams play Game 2 tonight at Everett.

The AquaSox took a 1-0 lead with a run in the bottom of the first inning.
