Boiler suit clues to trio in petrol station raid.


THREE men wearing black boiler suits and balaclavas were behind an armed raid at a petrol petrol: see gasoline.  station, police have revealed.

Detectives have released more information about a raid on the Star Oak service station - better known as the Texaco service station - on the A45 near Meriden at about 12.20pm last Friday.

They hope the information will jog people's memories and are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious or who knows who carried out the raid to contact them.

During the raid, three men - two of them carrying guns - attacked a security guard who was loading money into a cash machine on the forecourt. The man was beaten to the ground and his cashbox stolen. He suffered head injuries and needed hospital treatment.

 threatened a guard inside the security company van.

The robbers sped off in a black Vauxhall Vectra, registration AB05 YKL YKL Schefferville, Quebec, Canada - Schefferville (Airport Code) .

PC Mark Daniels, of Little Park Street police in Coventry, said the robbers were all wearing black boiler suits, black balaclavas and black gloves.

Two of the men are 5ft 10 to 5ft 11in and the third is 5ft 4in to 5ft 5in and slim.

PC Daniels said people may have seen the car speeding off and urged anyone with information to contact him at Little Park Street police station on 0845 113 5000.
