A MAN who posed as a doctor and pretended to treat his cancer-stricken fiancee fooled a series of other women, it was claimed yesterday.

Several women have reported to gardai how Michael Ward Michael Ward may refer to:

, 32, tricked them into believing he was a doctor, prescribing drugs for them and treating them for fictitious ailments.

Ward, sentenced to six years in jail yesterday, was exposed in court as a complete fraud who also claimed to be a millionaire and a "troubleshooter" for the Vatican.
